Description
This was a natural phenomenon. This is not a lens flare, nor does it contain any post processing. There was a thin layer of cloud with a perfect circle cut out of it, then in the centre, the full moon. The circle was huge, in fact the fisheye lens makes it look small but if you looked up it covered most of your vision, it was the most fantastic thing I had even seen in the sky and if anyone cares to throw some explainations my way I'd be happy.

Well, in my country this phenomenon just happened, it's called a halo and it's an optical phenomenon produced by ice crystals creating colored or white arcs and spots in the sky. Many are near the sun or moon but others are elsewhere and even in the opposite part of the sky. They can also form around artificial lights in very cold weather when ice crystals called diamond dust are floating in the nearby air. Oh, and yeah, great shot!!
